Some hedge fund manager or high profile investor predicts a low price for bitcoin? The sub mocks him and says he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.A different hedge fund manager or high profile investor predicts a high price for bitcoin? The sub mocks him by saying he’s just trying to get people to buy.The CTO of bitcoin Coinbase makes positive statements about crypto? The sub mocks him and says he just wants your money. Some random poster tries to use TA or FA to predict a coming bull market? The sub mocks him and tries to convince everyone the bear market will last forever. Some random poster tries to use TA or FA to predict a further continuation of the current bear market? The sub mocks him and tries to convince everyone the next bull market is right around the corner. No matter what has been posted lately, some idiot does his best to post a “clever” contrarian comment whether he believes in the stance behind his comment or not and the rest of the sub upvotes him like a bunch of lemmings because it’s either funny or clever or it’s what they WANT to hear (aka confirmation bias). What is going on? Before you post or upvote a post, try to take a few minutes to critically analyze the content behind it.Does your post/the post you’re looking at contain a valid argument or is it just more bullshit emotional rhetoric? Does your post/the post you’re looking at attempt to be fair and objective? Does your post/the post you’re looking at claim to have certain knowledge of the future which we all know is not possible to have?I know it’s r/cryptocurrency where one third of the people here are degenerate gamblers, and the next one third are very uninformed and don’t possess nearly enough knowledge about crypto to make coherent and informative posts, but that last one third—we HAVE to pull it together here…Tl;dr: Don’t be the guy to make some contrarian bullshit statement just because you want upvotes or want to stand out from the crowd, and don’t be the guy to base your posts on emotional rhetoric as opposed to sound reasoning. The negativity has gotten out of hand.Edit: Edited my typo.
